Legacy Blues started out as the brainchild of Jim "Jimmy The Biscuit" Lefler in December of 2009. Inspired by his years of experience in the entertainment industry and the food service industry, and egged-on by his boys, Jim decided that it was time to create a venue that would address two of his most consuming addictions: great music and a great steak.
Gathering a crew of investors, family, fellow musicians and steak lovers around him he began scheming up ways to fulfill this lifelong ambition. After 2 years of planning and preparation Legacy Blues was transformed from a vision into a reality. |
| The philosophy behind Legacy Blues is simple: fine food, fine music, fine atmosphere, and service, service, service. |

"Christmas of 2009 was the opening of B. B. King's in West Palm Beach , Florida.
I took my boys there to see the new blues club and was seated next to Donald Duck Dunn and his wife, who was there for a Christmas visit with his son who is the house sound engineer for the West Palm Beach B. B. King location.
Duck got up and jammed with the band and came over for a picture. We visited about his time in Memphis. I remember him playing in FairField Bay, Arkansas at the raquet club way back in '71 with Frankie Randall's Las Vegas show band.
The boys and I thought it would be cool to open a blues club sometime down the road, and this was where it all started." |
